Eclipses highlight seasonal energy changes not only in nature but also personally and collectively. We can see a definite theme in this one. The Lunar Eclipse of December 2011 puts these energies into motion until the next Lunar Eclipse. Here are some of the archetypal players and a sample of their energetic contributions:

Sun (18 degrees Sagittarius) conjunct the North Node - spotlighting deception and lies while turning us toward a deeper level of truth for ourselves, embracing spiritual principles that are consistent with our own integrity, using right brain activity such as practical intuition and creativity and fostering a desire to walk in our Truth.
Moon (18 degrees Gemini) conjunct the South Node - assisting our ability to release limiting mental constructs, old dualities, dysfunctional ideas and patterns we’ve adopted either by choice or necessity, giving us the information to no longer live the lie.
Mars Squared in Virgo - action oriented so be careful when driving, also inner questions pop up like: Where am I needing to self improve? What are the correct actions for me to take? What is my part in this relationship? Am I being truthful with myself?
Uranus turning direct in Aries - This is a great weekend for those “aha” moments. Uranus will make us conscious of information that’s been hiding out at the unconscious level. It will get our attention through shock and trauma if need be. This archetype features freedom, awareness, social causes, liberating the soul. It calls for us to Wake Up! With Uranus in Aries we’re getting messages about new initiatives, new beginnings, new ways to live, and many more new innovations and technologies. This energy can shake us to our core if it has to for us to notice the areas of life in which we’ve been asleep and unaware. With insight, we see clearly that the same old ways just won’t do anymore. And the question arises, do we want to be a part of the changes?
Mercury turning direct in Sagittarius - Mental processing and communication take on a more spiritual flavor, integrity oriented. This is a great time for uncovering what is false in our lives, being honest with ourselves and walking in our Truth.

Full Moon Light

The Full Moon is building in Aquarius (20 degrees) for this Saturday, August 13^th. It will highlight the destruction and crumbling that we’ve been witnessing of our old systems. But like a phoenix rising from the ashes, productive and essential systems will then be able to rise into place.

The celestial skies also reveal a Cardinal Cross configuration, which is made from squares and oppositions…. which are just as tough as they sound and definitely get things shaking. Opposing energies and squaring off type energies are demanding our attention. Anything less might not motivate us to tap into innovative, viable solutions and new healthier operating systems. If we were all cozy and comfy we might not rise to the occasion, right?

Financial abuses have to stop. Man’s destruction of the planet has to stop. Nuclear abuses have to stop. Couldn’t we go on and on and on? If we can imagine better systems to live by, we can create them and use them.

Albert Einstein said, “Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attractions”.

Be The Peace That’s Missing

We’re in the midst of changes big and small. Most of us feel as if we’re running just to keep up, much less move forward. This hectic way of living takes its toll on our mental state, emotions and physical body.

What we don’t realize is keeping up and moving forward requires just the opposite. Intentionally tuning into peace, harmony and a higher vision brings a healthy anabolic response to the body. Holding these higher vibrations in our heart and solar plexus calms fear and enables the creative part of us to problem solve in innovative ways. By embracing peace, we become peace. These harmonic energies generate powerful possibilities that catapult us forward in our work, health and relationships.

We must slow down our frantic pace and Be the Peace that’s missing.

Who Am I and What Am I Doing?

Our New Moon on April 3, 2011 is at 13 degrees Aries. New Moon’s signal new energies for new beginnings, new initiatives, new cycles, new projects, new goals, etc., etc. Aries, being the first sign of the zodiac, also aligns with beginnings and newness. Teaming up together makes for powerful energy, all of which we can feel moving through the events in our lives.

Another major energy of Aries is the “I” factor. Who am I? What am I doing? Why am I here? These questions and many more “I” and “Me” questions surface around this time. You may find yourself becoming more aware of what it is you want, taking the initiative on something important to you, realizing what you need, using your own talents, realizing your personal strengths, releasing self imposed limitations (that you used to blame on others), forgiving yourself for messing up, discovering what you want to do with your life, etc., etc.

Helen Keller expressed it beautifully, “One can never consent to creep when one feels an impulse to soar”.

Air Meets Fire

As we all know air feeds fire. The symbol for Uranus is the energy wave, air waves. And when it moves into Aries, for a 7 year stint beginning March 11th, get ready for a “whole ‘nother kinda shift”.

Uranus, the thinking for yourself rebel, meets the ever active, take the initiative, fireball Aries. Uranus energy is also famous for out of the blue, sudden, unexpected happenings. Add fire to that and you can expect combustion in a variety of ways. Creative innovations will pop up faster than ever and improve many, many areas of our lives. The paradigm shifts going on in consciousness open channels for each of us to truly “rethink possible”. And while humanitarian ideals mix with fiery passion, rebellious causes move front and center.

Two words come to mind; Revolution and Evolution.

And for the next 7 years, these kinds of comprehensive changes will be experienced personally and planet-wide.

What a Day for a Daydream

A New Moon at 13 degrees Pisces… one degree from my natal Sun. What a day for a daydreamin’ gal. I’m dreamin’ up all kinds of things, ideas and feelings I want to manifest. And the day of the New Moon is the day to do it too.

Do be careful to stay a bit grounded, maybe lasso a palm tree, so you don’t get completely carried away with an emotional undertow current.

Great day to figure out how you feel and what you want; get in touch with your higher, creative, imaginative and intuitive self. Feel the Love, share the Love, let it light up your day.

Am I Still A Scorpio?

The report of a 13th zodiac sign based on a constellation, Ophiuchus, caught a lot of attention recently. Actually, there are more constellations than you can shake a stick at, much more than 13. However, Western Astrology is not based on constellations. Its based on seasons, solstices, equinoxes and star signs that make up the tropics which form a ring around the earth. It’s based on the relationship of our planet to the sun. So yes, your sun sign remains the same.

Astrology is a study of mathematical cycles, patterns, geometry, angles, etc. It’s like a weather report. It gives information of energies present and those on the horizon. Just as Earth is an entire system so is the universe and it’s all connected. We are unique spiritual beings who were born on the planet at the exact place and moment that resonated with our particular vibration, purpose and frequency signature.

Seeing a Theme Here

I’m seeing a definite theme here. On January 19, 2011 we will have a Full Moon at 29 degrees Cancer. You’re probably already feeling this influence, especially since Cancer is a water sign.

Remember the 29 degree mark is a “critical” degree and its about endings. Energy is certainly available to bring things full circle or help you to let go of what is no longer beneficial or essential. Last month the Full Moon was also on this critical degree. It was at 29 degrees Gemini and next month it will be at 29 degrees Leo on February 18th. Mercy!

All Full Moons are about finishing a cycle. That’s why so many babies are born around the time of a Full Moon. But last month, this month and next month we have extra energy enabling the changes we’re ready to make. Let’s think it over, feel into it and be ready to let go.

Have a Creative New Year!

We had a New Moon 13 degrees Capricorn and a Solar Eclipse on the morning of January 4th, eastern time. Eclipses bring change and New Moons signal a great time for manifesting and beginning anew. From what I’m hearing, a lot of wacky stuff has happened, so even if it’s now the 5th, take advantage of the energy and get out your pencil and paper and jot down your heart’s desires. Just 10 good solid ones will do. Make sure its what you Really want because the energies these days for manifesting are stronger and quicker. Watch your thoughts and feelings because that’s how you direct energy and you only want to direct it where you Really want it to go.

Maintain your own high vibrations for best results; like peace, optimism, creativity, clarity, hope, enthusiasm, laughter, compassion, kindness, expectations, etc., especially if those gators come knocking at your door (or anything else stressful like that).

Capricorn is an earth sign so your thoughts at this time may be very pragmatic, grounded, practical, goal oriented, structured and organized. Capricorn and Saturn (its ruler) apply to forms, physical things and structures like our house, money or body and events can tempt us to worry about these things. Instead of worrying about the gator at the door, focus on what you want instead, in order to bring the solution into form. Image the house, money, body, garden, pool, car, etc., in its desired form, consider the “what if…” of experiencing it, feel the enthusiasm of it in your heart, the gratitude of it and then place your desire on the energy waves or angel wings pulsing through the air, oceans and cosmos to carry it forth and make it so. Its important to let it go at that point. You can send the desire out again later but for now release it with great thanks.

Sounds very science fiction but its actually quantum physics, universal and spiritual. Our world is changing rapidly and our individual choices are creating each new now. (wow, I like that)

On the 21st, change is set in motion with a Full Moon/Total Lunar Eclipse at 29 degrees Gemini. Not only are Full Moons great energy for finishing things up and bringing them to closure, the 29 degree mark (regardless of sign) is about the very same thing. Kind of a double dose going on here.

Gemini energy is social, communicative, great for learning and loves a variety of subjects. Its a mutable sign showing a great aptitude for change.

day/longest night here in the Northern Hemisphere. From this point the days begin to grow longer with more daylight available.

We hang lights on trees and over buildings, we burn candles and we celebrate the coming of Light in many ways. Appreciation and honor of the Light that dispels the darkness, in whatever way it speaks to our hearts, unifies our Voices and magnifies blessings world wide for families, neighbors and nations.

Be sure to let your Light shine brightly through your heart and on your face for all to see and feel. The lifting of humanity depends on it.
